Win a $500 College Scholarship from University Language Services!
High school students — ULS wants to see college through your eyes…or at least your camera lens. And you could win a $500 scholarship just for sharing your experience!
What catches your eye? What draws you in and excites you about college? As you’re visiting college campuses this year, take a snapshot and show us!
Here’s how the contest works:
Submit a photo you’ve taken while visiting a college campus, along with a 200-word description of why that photo represents college to you.
After each round of the contest, we’ll post the six best submissions on our website. Then, you and other visitors to our site can vote for your favorite! The two photos with the most votes will be the finalists for that round.

At the end of the final round, the scholarship winners will be chosen from the 16 finalists. You can vote here for your favorite photo! First place will win a $500 scholarship, and second and third places will each receive $100 scholarships.
Remember, photos do not need to be taken the month that they are submitted, but they must have been taken this year and during a college campus visit!
So when you’re visiting campuses this summer, bring your camera. While perusing potential schools, keep an eye out for things that you think represent college. It could be anything—the school’s football team, the famous library, a lecture hall, or something completely different. Be creative!
Rules of Eligibility:
- All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (EST) September 24, 2010.
- You must be currently enrolled in an accredited high school in the country where you reside.
- The photo must have been taken while visiting a college campus.
- You must have taken the photo yourself.
- Your photo and description must be your own original work and must not have been published elsewhere.
- The description of your photo must be no longer than 200 words.
- You agree that your entry becomes the property of University Language Services, Inc.
Winners of the scholarship contest will be announced on or about November 1, 2010, and select photos and descriptions will be posted on our website.
