University Language Services to select 3 winners in photo contest portraying college life.
New York – August 6, 2012 – Attention, high school students: You can win a $500 college scholarship from University Language Services.
With so much factoring into the big decisions of where to apply and which college to attend, ULS is inviting prospective students to tell us what they’re looking for in the quintessential college experience.
Students can enter any photo taken on a US college campus during their college visits. Each entry must also be accompanied by a description of no more than 200 words telling us why that photo represents college to them.
Any photo is eligible – from students walking to class to the marching band rehearsing for the big game – provided the photo was taken by the entrant on a college campus.
Students can submit their photo in any one of the contest’s five rounds. In each round, eight entries will be selected and posted on the ULS website. Voting will be open to the public so visitors to the site can choose their favorites. The top three vote-getters in each round will move on to the finals.
A panel of judges will then choose the winners from among the finalists. One grand prize winner will receive a $500 college scholarship, while the second and third place winners will each receive a $100 scholarship.
Take a look at the winners of our previous contest for high school students, then get out your camera and start clicking – the next scholarship winner could be you!
All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST October 10, 2012. Winners will be announced on or about November 12, 2012.
Please see the submission form and official rules for more information.
